Restaurants for Change

Friday, October 16, 2015

On October 21st Restaurants for Change is taking place in 13 cities throughout Canada and all you have to do to get involved is dine out at one of the 50+ participating restaurants! Each restaurant will donate all or a portion of their proceeds from their dinner service that night to Community Food Centres Canada.

What is Restaurant for Change?
Restaurant for change is an annual fundraising event launched by Community Food Centres Canada. The event brings together restaurants that support local food systems to help create awareness around healthy food accessibility and enabling food programs to low-income communities that are dealing with food insecurity, poor health and social isolation.

How Can You Help?
Make a reservation at one of the participating restaurants on October 21st and enjoy an amazing dinner where proceeds will help the food community centre in your city and help support a national movement of good food for all. In Toronto the proceeds raised will help fund Community Food Centres Canada and established food centres such as The Stop Community Food Centre and the Regent Park Community Food Centre. Funds raised in communities where there is no Community Food Centre support the Good Food Organizations program, which provides grants, training and resources to 75 community food organizations across Canada.
