This week I have been having plain Greek yogurt with strawberries and granola for breakfast and its been going down well! So filling and delicious, it tastes like a dessert. I also started buying Tim Horton’s coffee for breakfast because they have the roll up the rim contest going on. Of course I ALWAYS end up losing. Can I just roll up the rim and have it say YOU'VE WON A CAR, is that too much to ask for? Heh.
Lunch today
was leftover pulled pork sandwich with some coleslaw. Made this in the crock-pot on Monday and loved it. I
also had this colourful little side salad from the food court yesterday.
For afternoon
snackage I had some coconut banana bread I made over the weekend, a healthy
version too! I’ll post the recipe soon.
Dinner is
going to be some leftover broccoli soup I made last night. No cream or milk in this bowl of heavenly
green goodness.
For dessert,
a big juicy grapefruit! I bought a bag of them last week and have been digging
in almost everyday. Dessert on Sunday was
some really quick and easy wonton wrappers filled with mashed banana and
cinnamon and topped with dulce de leche, DROOL.

Yum, yum! I love how you're still incorporating so many fruits and veggies in your diet, even if it is still the wintertime where you live. (Also? If you'd like a break from winter, just come to the South. Our temperatures have been jumping ALL OVER THE PLACE, and I just want it to finally decide what season it is. The negative to this? It's scorching in the sumertime.)
ReplyDeleteStay warm, friend, and I cannot wait for some of these recipes to be posted! Will you be sharing the broccoli soup one, too?
I'd love to be in the South right now! I'd take heat over cold any day :P I will share the broccoli soup recipe soon!
DeleteLove this feature! So much fun to see what you eat on Wednesdays. Wonderful texture on that photo of the grapefruit - it looks so fresh! Good stuff - thanks.
ReplyDeleteNatalie...everything looks delicious, love your morning bowl :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week!
Glad it is Thursday today, not Wednesday! We are always the first few countries to start the day...
ReplyDeleteI'm not a winter person too and sad that summer is going to end at down-under...
Mmm, Tim Horton's! My husband must always stop in at least one whenever we are up in Canada. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour broccoli soup looks fantastic! And I'm also eyeing that marvelous loaf of bread!
ReplyDeleteWow Natalie...you ate some pretty great stuff here! That pulled pork looks awesome. But of course, my eye is heading straight to the banana bread and wontons! I hope you win a car tomorrow! : )
ReplyDeleteThat coconut banana bread sounds fabulous!! Definitely need it in my life.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not eating well or enough, I get so cranky. Your diet looks really well balanced! The things getting me through the cold winter is good food and the thought of wearing short tops and flip flops again. : )
ReplyDeleteLove that coconut banana bread! Apple is my favourite midday snack too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am counting down days to spring as well. I like your veggie meals and that beer looks sooo good :)
ReplyDeleteDANNGG!!! I forgot it was roll up the rim season-- now I'm going to have to go to Tim Hortons. I'm going to have to focus all of my self control so I don't end up buying a donut or three.
ReplyDeleteI'm super jealous that you genuinely enjoy grapefruit. No matter what I do to it, it tastes like poison :(
