I am going to start including some product reviews on my blog since I am such an avid Loblaws shoppers and I love trying out new products in their stores. One product that I just recently found out about, but have been in stores for awhile now is the PC Blue Menu Falafels.
There are 16 falafel's in one box and the price is $5.99. I decided to buy them a few months ago as I am all about quick and easy dinner's. I popped these in the oven for about 20 minutes and served them in a whole wheat pita with hummus, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato and onions. They were absolutely delicious for a frozen item! Obviously they cannot be compared to a fresh deep fried falafel from a restaurant but for a cheap, quick and healthy meal they are fantastic. They have great flavour and are very soft inside but with a light crunch exterior. Bonus is that they are baked and not deep fried. Only 170 calories per 3 falafels! The next time I had these was with a garden salad and baked pita bread slices with a side of hummus. So many options! Highly recommend this product!

Thanks for the post. I shop at the Superstore often so I will add these to my grocery list.
ReplyDeleteI find them a bit too mushy for my liking but they so have great flavor.
ReplyDeletePC products really are better than most well-known brand names!
ReplyDeleteI always see them in the frozen section but have yet to try them. Is there a lot of cilantro in them?
ReplyDeleteI'll have to give these a shot! Sound yummy!
