Joshi Detox Day 2.

Its day two of the detox and I’m so drained out.   I can’t tell if it’s because of the lack of sugar and caffeine or if it’s because of my ragweed allergies.  My head feels heavy, I have a slight headache and I just feel so sleepy. All I keep thinking about is how a hot coffee would make me feel so cozy and good right now.
This upcoming weekend will be a real challenge because it’s my dad’s birthday.  Spending the weekend at my parents’ house is bad news because my mom thinks she is Martha Stewart.  She will be cooking delicious food and desserts and I am going to be snacking on my rice cakes L  I know that she will be happy to hear about the detox though, so if I ask her to make me a nice meal she will.  I was thinking BBQ chicken breast with rice n beans and grilled asparagus.  For dessert plain yogurt topped with honey, banana slices, almond slivers and cinnamon. 

Meal Plan for the Day:
Breakfast: I had warm water with lemon, a green tea and a bowl of rice crisp cereal topped with banana and walnuts.
Snack: A rice cake with almond butter
Lunch: baked chicken breast with lemon and herbs, brown rice and beans with cumin and lots of garlic, and steamed broccoli.
Snack: Carrot sticks and brown rice crackers with hummus
Dinner: Probably going to head over to Freshii and get one of the warm brown rice bowls.

Things I miss: Coffee and strawberries L
