Healthy Dinner.

Picked up some fresh tilapia fillets for dinner tonight! Usually I like to coat them in whole wheat bread crumbs with spices but since I'm on this detox thing, no breadcrumbs for me. 





Herbed Tilapia
  • 2 Tilipa Fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt, lemon pepper, garlic powder, basil
1. In a large non-stick pan, heat oil over medium heat.
2. Add in all of the spices and herbs and mix together with the oil.
3. Turn heat up to medium-high and add fillets.
4. Cook for about 3 minutes per side or until fish is white and flaky.

Garlic Green Beans
  • .5 lb of green beans
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
1. Heat oil over medium heat and add garlic.
2. Cook garlic for about a minute or until fragrant.
3. Add green beans and 1 tbsp of water.
4. Cook for about 10 minutes or until beans reach desired tenderness.

Tangy Coleslaw
  • 1 bag of shredded cabbage
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt, pepper, oregano
1. Toss all of the ingredients together in a container.  Refrigerate for about an hour so flavours settle.

Garlic Brown Rice
  • 1 cup of brown rice, cooked
  • 5 to 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Oil
1. Cook brown rice according to package.
2. Saute garlic in oil over medium heat until fragrant and clear.
3. Add rice to the pan of garlic and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
